When it comes to keeping your money and personal information safe, we don't mess around. So, when you join us, we'll ask you for a range of documents to check you’re you.

Even if you've been with us a while, we may ask you for some of them again (or new ones) to make sure the information we have about you is up-to-date and we've got everything we need.

We understand sending us documents can be a pain, especially if you've done it before but like all UK banks, we have a legal obligation to have up-to-date information about all our customers to help keep you and your money safe from fraud and financial crime.

We take our responsibilities very seriously but we'll do our best to make the process as painless as possible. For more details see ‘How can I send my documents?’ in the FAQ section.

 

What should I do next?

If you're a new customer, we'll need you to send us documents so we can open your account.

If you’re already a customer, you don't need to do anything unless we get in touch.
